Other forms include Fealy and Fealey. The O’Falvey’s claim their descent from Conaire, a king of Ireland at the dawn of Christianity. The O’Falvey’s were chiefs of Corcu Duibne; specifically, the Dingle Peninsula of County Kerry in Ireland (an area now known as Corca Dhuibhne). They were also Lords of Inveragh during the tenth century and hereditary admirals of Desmond.
